Terms of Service

You must be a currently enrolled university or college student to list items on VarsityPlug. Buyers may browse without an account.

You must be at least 18 years old (or 16+ with verified parental consent) to create an account.

You may only create and maintain one account per person. Duplicate accounts will be suspended.

By creating an account, you confirm that all registration information provided is accurate and truthful.

All listings must be legal, accurately described, and genuinely owned by the seller.

The following items are strictly prohibited:

• Illegal drugs, substances, or drug paraphernalia
• Weapons, firearms, or dangerous goods
• Counterfeit, pirated, or stolen property
• Alcohol (to underage buyers)
• Adult content or sexually explicit material
• Academic dishonesty services (essays, exam answers)
• Prescription medication without a valid license

VarsityPlug reserves the right to remove any listing without prior notice if it violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate.

Listings that remain inactive for 30 days may be automatically expired.

VarsityPlug is a platform connecting buyers and sellers — we are not a party to any transaction.

All trades occur directly between students. VarsityPlug is not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of any listed item
• Failed payments, lost money, or disputes between users
• Items not received or misrepresented by sellers

We strongly recommend meeting in safe, public, well-lit campus locations and verifying the item before any payment is made.

The Seller Plus plan is charged at R60/month, payable via EFT or card.

Listings boosts (Featured) are a one-time payment of R49.99 per listing for 7 days of featured placement.

Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated. Pro access is revoked immediately upon non-payment or account ban.

EFT payments require manual review and may take 1–2 hours to activate.

Verification requires a valid 2026 Proof of Registration and a Student ID Card photo.

Submitting fraudulent or altered documents will result in a permanent account ban and may be reported to your institution.

Verification documents are used solely for identity confirmation and are deleted after review. See our Privacy Policy for details.

VarsityPlug may suspend or permanently ban any account that:

• Violates any of these Terms
• Receives multiple verified reports from other users
• Submits fraudulent verification documents
• Engages in spam, scamming, or platform manipulation

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@varsityplug.pro.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
